The artwork used on OME instruments often utilizes elements of traditional vintage instrument design. At the same time, OME art has a quality all of it own. It has evolved from the works of the many artists and craftsmen/women who have worked on our instruments over the years. The metal and mother-of-pearl engraving, the wood carving, the dye-coloring, and our custom inlaying, all are accomplished by the hands of some of today’s finest artists.

All OME banjos include permanently lubricated and sealed geared tuning pegs. We also offer three quality tailpieces: the two-way adjustable HARP tailpiece, the solid SWEETONE tailpiece, and the OETTENGER adjustable finger tailpiece.

A choice of OME heads is available in frosted, clear, smooth-white, translucent, and Fyberskyn styles. The bridges we use are made by Snuffy Smith, Jim Farquar, and OME.

Considerable care is exercised during the final assembly of every OME instrument. The wood and metal parts are fitted precisely together. The frets are evenly dressed, and the action is set for optimal playing and performance. Final set-up and adjustment are patiently checked and re-checked, to ensure proper fit, tone, and action. The OME adjustable rim rods, neck rod, and tailpieces are also there to insure that your instrument will perform optimally for years to come.
